Regnbuestrik til babyen

23:07

I love baby knits with bold colours. Colours that makes you happy, right? So I just had to knit something with many colours while I waited for the new addition to the family to be ready to join us. Actually I ended up knitting two cardigans with rainbow as the theme.

First up was a kimono-styled cardigan knitted in a combination of Istex Eínband and Shetland Soft, expecting that'll fit over the summer. The second one, and the one I'm most proud of, was a classic top down raglan cardigan, knitted in the round with a steek, in Kauni yarn.

Originally the colours changes in the yarn are far longer than you can see here, so the knitting process involved a lot of spit splice and winding yarn into tiny balls to get the colour change to fit the tiny cardigan. But it was so worth it!

It's so cute and luckily I have enough yarn to knit a sweater as well (in a larger size). Might have to knit myself a rainbow sweater too.

Ps will be joining in on the rainbow challenge by Norwegian designer and Webshop Malsen og Mor. Just waiting to get the kit I've ordered
